Service Description
Earn your dog’s official AKC Canine Good Citizen title! This 6-week prep course covers all 10 test items required for certification, including polite greetings, loose-leash walking, supervised separation, and calm behavior around other dogs and people. Each week we’ll break down test components with hands-on coaching and structured practice so you and your dog feel confident on test day. The official CGC test is included on the final class date. Open to graduates of Basic or Advanced Obedience who demonstrate good leash and social skills. Perfect for owners seeking proof of their dog’s manners, therapy-dog prospects, or future training foundations. 🧠 Notes for setup Prerequisite: Completion of Basic or Advanced Obedience. Outcome: Eligible for AKC CGC title upon passing test. Optional add-on: Offer retest or private CGC evaluation ($65–$85) as a separate Wix service.
Cancellation Policy
Payment: Full payment is due at registration to secure your spot. Spaces are limited and not held without payment. Cancellations: Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days before the first class for a full refund. After the program begins, no refunds or credits. Private lessons canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged in full. Emergencies may be reviewed at trainer discretion. Attendance: Attendance at Week 1 is required. Missed classes are forfeited and cannot roll into future programs. Clients arriving over 10 minutes late may forfeit their session to avoid schedule disruption. Behavior Requirements: Dogs must not display aggression toward people or dogs. Unsafe dogs may be transferred to private training at additional cost. Pawfect Practice Training reserves the right to excuse any unsafe or disruptive participants. Vaccinations: Proof of current Rabies and DAPP vaccines (age-appropriate for puppies) is required before participation. Health & Safety: Dogs showing illness (coughing, diarrhea, vomiting, parasites, or infection) may not attend. Dogs in heat may not attend group classes and may reschedule for privates if space allows. Handler Responsibilities: Handlers must maintain control of their dog at all times and are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog. Dogs remain on leash unless instructed otherwise. Private Lesson Policy: For in-home sessions, trainers must have safe access to the property and a secure environment. Sessions canceled due to unsafe conditions or loose dogs are charged in full. Training Disclaimer: Results depend on consistent owner participation. Pawfect Practice Training provides professional guidance but cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Media Release: Participation grants Pawfect Practice Training permission to photograph or record for educational or marketing use. Personal identifying info will not be shared. Clients may opt out by written request. Liability Waiver: By enrolling, you agree to release Pawfect Practice Training, its owners, and representatives from any liability or damages related to training participation, including injury, illness, or property loss.
